Hurricane Ida experience

Experience when it matters most.

After Hurricane Ida in 2021, ABS restored whole hotels, many churches and the George Edmond Activity Center in Avondale. We handle jobs of every size, from a single condominium unit to large industrial buildings.

Free mold inspections during or just after storm events. We use moisture meters and a visual inspection. This is not a lab mold test.

How we work

A clear, measured process.

We take moisture readings before, during and after our work, and we monitor our equipment until the property is dry.

  1. Find the sourceWe identify the source of the moisture and either correct it or make recommendations on what needs to be done to correct it.
  2. AssessWe take initial moisture readings and find every affected area.
  3. ExtractStanding water is removed first so drying can begin right away.
  4. DemolishWe carefully remove and dispose of affected wet materials that cannot be dried or restored, such as saturated drywall, insulation and flooring.
  5. DryWe set drying equipment and monitor it until the property is dry.
  6. CleanAffected areas are cleaned, with mold remediation where it is needed.
  7. ConfirmMoisture readings after the work show the property is dry.
